VARILIGHT Dimmer Led Light is Flickering on and off, Faulty Varilight Switch

We’ve already had multiple projects concerning Varilight brand of dimmable lights, hence it makes sense to blog about this.
A client, not far from Bromley called us about their dimmable Led Lights that were flickering on and off. It turned out to be the Varilight brand of switch that had been broken even though it was only 5 or so years old. Varilight cost around £100 to buy. We’ve had clients with similar problems in other areas of Bromley such as Sundridge.
Our Findings:
A two way lighting cable was producing a transient voltage and keeping the lights on low all the time. We had to disconnect the two way lighting cable in the end.
In another area of Bromley, Chislehurst, we had a customer who again had a faulty Varilight branded of switch. Although he also had an intermediate switch. Meaning he had a master, intermediate and slave switch.
